Minor feature enhancements
This is the new "stable" branch. Stable versions like this one will begin with an even number (0.4-*), while testing versions will begin with odd (0.5-*) (the mechanism is the same used in the Linux kernel). This release begins with a mirror copy of 0.3-21.
