Musicus is a command line audio player that uses
XMMS plug-ins for music playback without requiring
a GUI environment (X11 does not have to be
running). It serves a component of the Cjukebox
music management system. Musicus can be either
used in batch mode or an interactive mode where
the user can type in commands to start and stop
songs, inquire about song length, (ID3) tags, and
more. Musicus is generally designed to be
controlled by another piece of software. Both
Python and Perl bindings are available.
