mod_auth_imap is an Apache module to provide authentication against an IMAP mail server. The httpd.conf or .htaccess file can specify server name and port of the desired IMAP server. It is also compatible with stunnel for IMAP over SSL.

Major feature enhancements
This release brings mod_auth_imap out of the alpha/beta stages. The
IMAP code has been changed to properly support RFC 2060. Support has
been added for servers such as UW-IMAP that force a "CAPABILITY"
command, and a directive has been added to enable enhanced logging in
Apache's ErrorLog. The code has been cleaned and is now better
commented.
