hsomon helps you to connect with your Option HSDPA/HSUPA card to the Internet (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, etc.). It only works on Linux with the newer HSO cards that come with a new "packet interface". On those cards, you don't have to run PPP anymore like with the old cards. hsomon connects and monitors the connection. If necessary/desired,
it reconnects.
