Galapagos is a fairly detail artificial life project
in which a number of creatures are simulated
over time. The simulation follows a number of
laws which are inspired by, although not
replicating, the standard laws of nature. By
implementing mutations and crossovers and
the implicit natural selection in the simulation,
the overall result is an evolution of the
creatures in which new breeds of creatures
fullfilling different ecological niches arise.
